¶ What is ShipWorld?
The future global trade requires more transparent and less redundant data. ShipWorld is a global maritime asset registry on Pomfret.cloud. The registry hosts ship particulars for global trade. We can categorize ship's data in to the following three categories.
- Ship onboard data: Technical, operational, navigational data which are critical and maintained onboard. Typically, this type of data can be only accessible onboard crews, surveyors and inspection authorities.
- Ship compliance data: Certificates, documents and data which are required to comply to global and local authorities.
- Ship port call data: Ship particulars required for port call ship clearance.
ShipWorld hosts ship port call data and ship compliance data for ship clearance at ports. At many ports, shipping companies or their agencies has to submit ship particulars and cargo particulars for the clearance. By having a global asset registry like ShipWorld, stakeholders such as ports can access the up to date ship particulars.
Note: ShipWorld is NOT an administrative registry to register your vessels for for any state/flag.
¶ Why am I not able to see all vessels?
The data can be only published by shipowners or their agents using maritime using Pomfret ERM (Enterprise Resource Manager) application. The ERM application is free. Please subscribe Pomfret ERM freely.
¶ What about the credibility and trust worthy of the data?
The global maritime registry is open for all to read, but only the asset or resource owners can publish the data. This makes the data as a source of truth as it originates from the owners. An audit log of changes made are visible for viewers.
¶ How can I access the vessel data?
You can search through ShipWorld portal.
ShipWorld also can be accessed through API (Application Programming Interface).
