To search for available voyages, follow these steps:
Open the Voyage Search Page: Navigate to the search page from the MyCargo dashboard.
Apply Filters: Enter the required details to narrow down your search:
Departure Port: Mandatory field.
Arrival Port: Mandatory field.
Departure Date: Mandatory field.
Arrival Date: Mandatory field.
Carrier: Optional, defaults to All if not specified.
Equipment Type: Optional, defaults to 20 GP if not specified.
Shipment Type: Optional, defaults to FCL (Full Container Load). Support for LCL (Less than Container Load) and Bulk will be available in the future.
View Search Results: Once the filters are applied, a list of available voyages will be displayed. Users can view voyage details and pricing information to select the most suitable option.
Pricing in MyCargo is calculated based on the selected equipment and services. Users can choose from various service options, but Ocean Freight is mandatory.
Pickup: Automatically selects the Port of Origin when enabled.
Port of Origin: Starting point of the shipment.
Port of Discharge: Destination port where the cargo is unloaded.
Delivery: Automatically selects the Port of Discharge when enabled.
After selecting the required services, the system will display the final pricing based on the chosen configuration. Review the pricing breakdown and proceed with the booking as needed.
To create a booking in MyCargo, follow these steps:
Ensure that you are logged into your MyCargo account to access the booking functionality.
Navigate to the Voyage Search page and select a suitable voyage from the available options.
Click on the "Book Now" button to initiate the booking process.
Fill in the required booking details as prompted:
Export Declaration (Yes/No): Indicate whether an export declaration has been made.
Import License (Yes/No): Specify whether an import license is available.
Partial Load Allowed (Yes/No): Mention if partial loading is permitted.
Equipment Substitution (Yes/No): Indicate whether equipment substitution is allowed.
Commodity Details: Provide details about the goods being shipped.
You must specify the involved parties for the booking. The following details are mandatory:
Booking Agency: Enter the booking agency details.
Original Shipper: Provide the shipper's information, including a valid email ID.
Consignee Party: Enter consignee details with a valid email ID.
Additionally, you can include other parties with the "Notifiable" checkbox. By default, the checkbox is enabled for the Booking Agency and Original Shipper.
Click on the "Submit" button to complete the booking.
If any mandatory information is missing or incorrect, a UI pop-up will display the specific issues that need to be addressed.
Upon successful submission, a Booking Reference Number will be generated.
You will receive an email notification containing the booking details, along with a PDF attachment summarizing the booking.
In MyCargo, a booking progresses through various states based on user actions and system updates. The following outlines the typical booking state transitions:
Booking Placed/Submitted → Received Status:
Once a booking is submitted, it enters the Received status.
Received Status → Rejected:
If resources are unavailable or issues arise, the booking is Rejected.
Received Status → Booking Amendment Requested → Received Status → Rejected:
If an amendment is requested and resources remain unavailable, the booking will be Rejected.
Received Status → Booking Confirmed (No further amendments):
If the booking is approved, it transitions to Confirmed status.
No further amendments are allowed once confirmed.
Received Status → Booking Confirmed → Booking Canceled (User action):
A confirmed booking can still be canceled by the user.
Received Status → Booking Amendment Requested → Received Status → Booking Confirmed (No further amendments):
After an amendment request, if the booking is approved, it becomes Confirmed with no further amendments permitted.
Received Status → Booking Canceled (User action):
Users have the option to cancel the booking before confirmation.
User:
Can Submit, Update, and Cancel bookings.
NVOCC:
Can Confirm or Reject bookings.
All booking status changes trigger email notifications to the user.
Each notification contains a detailed PDF attachment outlining the booking details and current status.
Go to the "View Booking" tab in the MyCargo dashboard.
Enter the Booking Reference Number to retrieve the booking details.
If Booking is in Received Status:
Options:
Cancel: Terminate the booking.
Update: Modify booking details.
If Booking is Confirmed:
Options:
Cancel: Cancel the booking if needed.
Track Shipment: Monitor the shipment progress in real time.
Once a booking is confirmed, users can track their shipments in real-time using the World Map Tracking feature. This feature provides a comprehensive overview of the shipment's journey and current location.
Log in to your MyCargo account.
Navigate to the "Tracking" section from the dashboard.
Enter the Booking Reference Number or select the booking from the list.
The Tracking Page offers the following real-time details:
1.Current Status Updates:
Displays the latest status of your shipment, such as In Transit, At Port, or Delivered.
Keeps you informed of any changes or updates.
2.Estimated Delivery Timeline:
Shows the expected delivery date and time.
Updates dynamically based on real-time progress.
3.Live Map Visualization:
Provides an interactive world map showing the shipment’s current location.
Visualizes the entire route from the Port of Origin to the Port of Discharge.
Displays key milestones and checkpoints along the way.
Zoom and Pan: Explore the shipment route and track progress on a global scale.
Real-Time Notifications: Receive alerts if there are significant changes to the shipment status or timeline.
Some of our customers have strict policy which does not permit them to publish their services to public. In such scenarios, our customers can run their own MyCargo instances for their shippers with additional subscription fee which should be paid annually.
